Moonstone and Mugwort Moon Chest piece

The mugwort moon necklace I made as an homage to one of my favorite plants.  I love that mugwort has been present in european herbalism for thousands of years for magic and divination and dreaming, yet it's still so common that I can pick it up on the side of the road. What's really special and powerful doesn't have to be rare!

I carved the leaf out of wax and cast in silver. The moon face is mother of pearl. Mugwort is very related to the moon, so much so that the latin name is Artemis, who's the goddess of the moon! All of my mother of pearl pieces remind me of the moon, the way they are softly glowing. On her head is a faceted moonstone as a little crown. 

This necklace is a definite statement piece! It is 3.25" wide, by 2" tall. The chain is 18" but just include  a note in your order if you want a different length.
