Radiating Skull Sacred Heart Necklace

This one of a kind sacred heart necklace is hammered brass set with carved mother of pearl and carved mother of pearl leaves that radiate around the skull. Sacred hearts are an ancient symbol in Catholicism representing boundless love. I've made it my own by filling the heart with my own symbols of love and abundance. Pearl in traditional Chinese medicine is supposed to soothe and calm the heart, I love when symbols come together from different cultures to create something new! The skull and leaves here feel like a mini wearable altar to life, death, and everything in between the worlds.

 The heart is hammered from brass and sealed with a black patina. It hangs on a 26" blackened silver chain with a sturdy lobster clasp.
